Ndzilu Candles – Scent with a conscience

From need to creation

It was the common taste for scented candles, shared by Keyla Machiana and Karyn Tonela, coupled with the difficulty in finding this product for sale in Maputo, which led to the establishment of the Ndzilu brand in August 2020.

100% Mozambican

The word Ndzilu comes from the Changana language and it means “fire” or “flames”. The aim of the brand is to offer its customers a unique and memorable experience through its scented candles.

Scents for different tastes

Candles are available in 3 scents, each with a suggestive name and which carry its sweetness in a unique and special way: Quilalea, raspberry; Mecufi, caramel; and Vamizi, coconut and musk. The latter is the most popular.

Long-lasting and environmentally friendly

Made from soy wax, a 100% natural and renewable resource, Ndzilu candles have a slow and non-toxic combustion and last 3 times longer than paraffin candles.

Make a difference

Ndzilu gives customers the opportunity to refill the holder once the candle is finished, encouraging reuse and not wasting resources.
