Created in 2018 as part of the Moz Illustration project, this phone case is more than a useful object – it’s an art piece that highlights Mozambican culture.

National design

The copyright of the art marketed by Moz Illustrations belongs to Nilton Mungamba, but several other artists are invited to “lend” their art to cell phone cases.

Local inspiration

There are currently six design models: Txopela; Txova; Banana Pattern (the classic); Samora Machel; Capulana 1; and Capulana 2. The most popular pattern is Txopela.

Custom technique

Inspired by the local cultural heritage, the illustrations are applied to the polymer layers through a sublimation process, followed by a glossy finish.
